- I don't have a hardware fix for this problem but...

- I have written a "title bar" type clock/calendar program which has an option of
- reading the Real Time Clock (hardware clock) at fixed intervals. On my
- computer I refresh system time every 30 seconds. The program is written in a
- highly optimized assembler and uses very little CPU time. Its freeware.
